1. remove the dirt seal

2. clean the forks with a clean rag

3. use a .003 in feeler gauge or a goole tearoff if your in the bush and run it between the fork and the seal (in other words stick it inside the seal and rotate it around the fork), this is done to remove any dirt or debris which may be causing the seal to leak

4. clean fork again, a very small amount of fluid may come out of the fork when you put the feeler gauge along the seal

5. place a generous amount of lithium based grease  inside the dust seal or on the fork oil seal

6. replace the dust seal

7. some grease residue will show up on you're forks after you start riding, wipe it off and check for leaks.
