It's no secret that the 2009 KTM450exc is one of the best enduro weapons on the market these days. Even the boys at ADB mag had a lot of good words to say about the beast in their latest shoot out against the new hi tech BMW G450X, Husaberg FE450 and the Yamaha WR450f when they gave the title to the Kato once again. It has the power, handling and trail manners to suit a very large variety of riders and it's been around for long enough to consider it as a reliable mount as well. I suppose my main reason for coming back to the Kato year after year is the fact that it has such a good resale value and is very easy to sell when it comes time to upgrade every year. There are plenty of good 450 enduro bikes on the market, but in my opinion the Kato is the best all rounder of the bunch. For more info and technical specification click here. The 2008 Yamaha Blue Light Ride conditions have been the best seen over the history of this event. With a good lead up of rain and an overnight top up the night before the event, the terrain was as good as it gets. The event incorporated two 60 kilometres loops of perfect forest trails around the mountains of Noojee two hours east of Melbourne Victoria.
