I wasn't quite sure where to put this on the site, not news not really new product but decided it really a review on Kenny himself and the legendary AXO brand. So her we are and share with you all some info on Kenny Safford, Axo's chief designer, and one of the most innovative designers in the motocross industry...
Kenny Safford is known as one of greatest designers throughout the Motocross industry. He has done things and continues to do things that nobody has ever thought possible. Right now at AXO America his main focus is on Motocross boots and apparel. He just perfected the Prime MX boot and is already working on his next masterpiece. Kenny has this way of taking ideas from everyday things and putting them onto paper and creating gear that protects and helps riders perform at their highest level. No matter what you throw at him he can turn it around and make it useful in some way.

Over the years Kenny has worked at a few different companies inside the Motocross industry. He first worked for AXO many years ago, and is now back with AXO and is working hard, creating new products to bring AXO back to the top of the Motocross industry. So far he has taken a basic boot and transformed it into one of the best boots on the market today. There is so much more I could say about Kenny, Heck I could probably write a book on him, but I think I will just ask him a few questions so we can all get to know him a little bit better.
1. AXO: How did you get started in the Motocross industry?
Kenny: I was going to school to be a product designer, and to help pay for school I worked at a photo studio, and AXO America was a client of the studio so I was able to build on that relationship.
2. AXO: Can you bring us through a day in the life of Kenny Safford?
Kenny: Work starts around 7am, so I can catch Italy and China before they leave for the day, then depending on the time of year I'll have products to design, catalogues to build, products to test, or try to think of what's next.
3. AXO: Name some of your career highlights?
Kenny: 1. designing the team look for Peak/Pro Circuit race team
2. Designing the Tech 10 for Alpinestars
3. AXO 2010. You'll see!
4. AXO: How do you like to spend your free time?
Kenny: I like to spend time with my family. Moto, Mt. Biking, Soccer and Football.
