Ever since the release of 2003 EXC KTM has gradually been making changes to the front end rake and triple clamp set up of their new models, an increase of 0.5 degrees in head rake for the 2010 models can go a long way to help to improve the way the Kato's handle and corner. Other welcome modifications include steel frames and a new lowered triple clamp setup with a fixed offset of 22mm instead of 20mm. The frame has been welded to the headstem 10 cm lower which gives a lower centre of gravity and better cockpit ergonomics. Throw in new PDS suspension settings, Brembo front brake, lighter Excel rims and Renthal grips and a change from the old regina to a DID X-ring chain and you've got some welcome improvements to what was already a great bike.
