Both enduro models have tuned suspension and chassis designed especially for competitive off-road riding needs as well as large-diameter front and rear axles and wide diameter wheel bearings for excellent rigidity.
The CRF450X has a powerful four-stroke, electric start, 449cc liquid-cooled, four-valve Unicam engine designed to produce power across a wide rpm band for off-road riding. The wide-ratio five-speed transmission, suspension and chassis ensure this model has everything for competitive off-road riding.
The smaller derivative, the CRF250X offers a rare combination of light weight, tractable power and excellent handling. The ACG cover, clutch cover and cylinder-head cover are made of magnesium to reduce engine weight to just 27kg. The exhaust system uses a lightweight stainless steel exhaust header and muffler equipped with spark arrester.
