- Honda will release the 2011 CRF450R in late November.
- The bike features a number of upgrades including newsuspension, improved steering damper (HPSD), redesigned fuel pumpand exhaust system, and improvements to the fuel injectionsystem.
Honda has substantially improved onone of the most successful motocross machines on the market, theblood-pumping CRF450R.
Honda's top off road competition bike includes a number ofupgrades including new suspension, improved steering damper (HPSD),redesigned fuel pump and exhaust system, and improvements to thefuel injection system.
The CRF450R's rear suspension has been given a new linkage tohelp with handling and tracking, and a more balanced suspensionperformance, whilst the fully adjustable Pro-Link rear suspensionsports an exclusive KYB integrated reservoir, and a large rearshock damper for improved suspension action under the toughestriding conditions.
The Kayaba front suspension features a sophisticated invertedAir-Oil Separated (AOS) system with an exclusive Honda48mm-diameter fork, and adjustability for rebound and compressiondamping. The new settings are matched up to the new rearsuspension.
Honda has also taken the revolutionary HPSD and made it evenbetter by giving it a bigger 24mm piston for less distortion overbraking bumps. Ultimately, the rider gets more damping when needed,offering confident high speed stability, secure cornering and lessrider fatigue.
The CRF450R was Honda's first MX bike fitted with fuelinjection, and it's always been the standard in the class. For 2011it has been given a new throttle body and new ECU programming forcrisper throttle control and even easier starting. The result isfluid power and drivability while reducing noise output.
To conform to FIM testing methods, the CRF450R also has a newexhaust system fitted that works in conjunction with the airbox andnew FI settings.
Of course, knowing that it's a Honda, means each bike comescomplete with all the standard-setting quality and reliability forwhich the manufacturer is world renowned.
The CRF450R will be available from Dealers nationally in lateNovember.
