The recent BMW aquisition of Husqvarna and subsequent relocation of manufacturing has seen a fair amount of technology being shared with the new Husqvarna Models.
Shhh....Don't tell anybody but the recent "spy photo's" of the Husqvarna 4 stroke 450 based on the BMW engine are actually publicity photo's issued from Husqvarna, who'd have thought ?.

Kayaba provided the forks, Husky the linkage system and BMW the Motor for the 2011 TC450.
Guess what? BMW 450cc engine, rocker arm shock linkage, crank-mounted clutch, fuel injected, one-piece plastic, Kayaba suspension & ultra thin profile

Let's play spot the difference ......

lauch a MX bike of their own ?....

same as the Beamer the swingarm pivot and countershaft sprocket are in line (which means that chain tension will not change as the wheel moves through its arc some contention
here as to the benefit for an MX bike).
