Ryan Lancaster – Pro Class
“I had a great day of racing with a clean sweep on the KTM ATV 450 SX in the Pro Class, where I holeshot every race, and took the overall win pretty much unchallenged,” said Lancaster.
“I thought I’d have some competition from Chad McKay, but he battled with Paul Worth behind me for second, and neither of them challenged me, I crossed the finish line in each race around 30 to 40 seconds ahead of the competition.
“I also entered the Dash for Cash race for some extra bonus money. I didn’t holeshot the Dash for Cash, but I made a quick pass on the race leader, and cruised home for the win. I’m very happy with my results and thank all my sponsors for getting behind me for some great early season racing.”
Len Pipiciello – Vets Class
“It was really rewarding to claim the win for round one of the Tri State Series, over current National Vets Champion, Rick Beer,” said Pipiciello. “In my first race I got the KTM ATV 505 SX second into the corner behind a Can AM rider, but then quickly got around him, and checked out for a convincing win.
“In my second moto, I holeshot but Rick Beer passed me, and we battled for most of the race, then he took the win just ahead of me, as I crossed in second.
“The final race was another good start for me with the holeshot, but I came up short on the rhythm section, and crashed off the quad, I remounted quickly but the get off allowed Rick to take the win unchallenged, and I was in second.
“My consistent results gave me the Vets Class win over Rick Beer by four points for the opening round. Rick had an unfortunate first race which worked against him points wise, but it’s obvious he’s going to be my biggest challenger, and toughest competition for the Tri State Series in the Vets Class.
“Overall it was a great start for KTM with both Ryan Lancaster and I on the podium, and we’re thankful for everyone who helped us get there.”
