Today the New South Wales Supreme Court ordered that the Crusty Demons Thirst 4 Destruction Tour scheduled to perform in Australian capital cities in May and June next year be taken off sale with effect from 6pm today until further order of the court. The order follows a successful application brought before the Supreme Court today to prevent Dainty Consolidated Entertainment (Dainty) from conducting further false and misleading promotion and advertising in relation to the Dainty Crusty Tour.

Dainty and Crusty Demons brand owner, Fleshwound Films (Fleshwound) had been advertising and selling tickets to the Crusty Demons Thirst 4 Destruction Tour touting “The best rider line up ever seen”. The advertising included the following riders as the star attractions of the Tour: Cam Sinclair, Blake “Bilko” Williams, Robbie Maddison, Jackson Strong, Nate Adams, Mike Mason and Adam Jones.

The Court was presented with evidence from all these riders or their agents to the effect that none of these riders had in fact signed contracts with Dainty or Fleshwound or even agreed to have their names associated with the Tour. The Court was also presented with evidence in the form of letters from all of the above riders or their agents demanding that their names be removed from any association with the Tour.

Michael Porra, CEO of Global Action Sports commented:

“I think it’s a disgrace that Australian freestyle fans can be lied to like this. By advertising riders they knew they didn’t have, Dainty and Fleshwound were clearly attempting to cheat fans out of their hard earned money. I’m so glad that the court acted so quickly to stop this deceptive and misleading conduct.”

A separate legal action continues in the United States between Global Action Sports’ subsidiary Rush Sports and Events, the long standing exclusive licensee of the Crusty Demons live show rights and Fleshwound in a legal dispute over the Crusty Demons live show rights. The outcome of this will determine whether or not the Dainty Crusty Demons Thirst 4 Destruction Tour is entitled to proceed at all.
