There’s only one week to go until MXTV’s 100th episode and Australia’s favourite dirt bike show is gearing up for the celebrations with an exciting episode number 99 to air tomorrow night at 8pm on Foxtel channel 183 (Aurora).
“We’ve got heaps in store for viewers tomorrow night,” MXTV Producer Brendan Bell said. “Co-host Lee Hogan will be catching up with a good mate of his, CDR Rockstar Yamaha racer Cheyne Boyd, for a candid and exclusive interview.
“Not only is Cheyne one of the fastest in the country, he’s also a top bloke.
“We were lucky to be able to visit his house and will give viewers a rare glimpse into the life of this top pro in tomorrow night’s segment, ‘At Home With Cheyne Boyd’.”
Bell said another highlight of the episode would be the third instalment of the highly popular ‘Blokes and Their Bikes’ – a segment in which reporter Ian ‘Macca’ McGregor visits blokes and delves into their sheds to check out their bikes.
“We’ve also got an exclusive interview with a real mogul of the industry, Suzuki USA Team Boss Roger De Coster,” Bell said.
“We managed to catch up with De Coster at a BBQ when he was in the country for a few days and will bring viewers a two-part segment.
“This week we chat to him about his racing and his love of classic bikes and in the second part of the segment in a few week’s time we discuss the Chad Reed deal and what his tactics will be for taking on James Stewart in the 2009 season.
“And if all that wasn’t enough we also have a fresh set of rider and mechanical tips and we start to get into the festive spirit with some great Christmas gift ideas.
“We’ve prepared a huge show for you tomorrow night as we get ready for the 100th episode so make sure you tune in and don’t miss it.”
Bell even let slip a bit of what’s to come for the 100th anniversary show, which will air next Tuesday 9 December.
“I can’t say too much, but what I can say is you’ll get to experience the best of MXTV,” he said.
“It’s gonna be a must-watch show… all the crew are really proud we’ve been able to make so many episodes over the last eight years and it’s gonna be great to celebrate the anniversary episode with fans across the nation.”
MXTV will air every Tuesday at 8pm (7pm for Queenslanders) on Foxtel Channel 183 (Aurora). The show will also be repeated throughout the week.
