This ride is a shortened version of the now famous APC RALLY . The ride is action packed and riders will cover all types of terrain. All riders who have GPS units shall be given the course and those without a GPS will ride as a group with Craig Hartley and John Hudson.
This ride will be different to other tours especially for those with GPS units because they will be able to ride at their own pace just like the APC rally.
Craig and John have a wealth of experience and shall not only be trying to give riders a great ride they will be passing on knowledge about GPS navigation and gear set ups.
Accommodation shall be in pubs or camping whichever the rider prefers.
Gear that is required is casual clothes for the evening and camping gear if you plan on sleeping under the stars.
You need a registered adventure bike with a fuel range of 150 km. Please ensure you have knobby tyres in good condition with ultra heavy tubes otherwise you will most likely get a flat tyre.
What can you expect? Great trails and a full days riding. “very social atmosphere”. Because we use the Gps units the group can spread out reducing dust. The best thing is that all riders can go at their own pace and the riders who are just learning are under no pressure and they have some crusty old desert riders to help them through trails that have been selected for adventure bikes .It would take a lifetime of riding to find these trails yourself.
Riders will have to pay for their own fuel and food and accommodation.
