The website for the 2011 Australian 4-Day Enduro (A4DE), being held at Mackay (QLD) from April 20th to 23rd, is now live.
The site: www.a4de.com, includes information including an accommodation booking form, event and Mackay info, results (from previous events) and pics, media center, event contact and links to the 2011 A4DE’s official Facebook page and Youtube Channel.
Organisers of the race, the Gum Valley Motorcycle Club, said the website had been created with riders, supporters and fans as well as potential sponsors and the public in mind.
“We really wanted the site to be easy to use and deliver all the information in an interactive and inviting way,” club president, John Hand, said.
“We had Shooting Star Media design and build the site for us as they are experts in the field and have been involved in promoting the four-day since 2008.
“We feel the site is a real success and we’re excited to have such a strong website and so much work already done for the event, which is still eight months away.”
Hand said preparations for the race were well on track, with locations for all the special test phases, most of the trail, the final motocross, presentation evening and a media prologue event already determined.
“We’re working tirelessly and have the total support of local and state government and the local community,” Hand said.
“This is gonna be a four-day not to miss.

"It’ll be a great ride and also fantastic for the spectators, as all the special tests and the main control will be based at our award-winning motocross track here at Gum Valley.”
Hand said booking accommodation for the Mackay A4DE would be “easier than ever” after Mackay Tourism had developed a special accommodation booking form for all interested.
“The form, which you can download from
www.a4de.com, has an extensive list of accommodation and can be used to book your accommodation," Hand said.
"If you have special requirements or any questions the contact details of Mackay Tourism can also be found on the form and the friendly staff there are more than happy to assist."
The annual A4DE is the biggest dirt bike enduro event in the Southern Hemisphere and contributes an estimated $5 million annually to the economy of the host area.
The A4DE is a true test of man (and woman) and machine: competitors will spend about 25 hours on their bikes and cover around 800km’s.
The event is ran in time rally format, with entrants completing three days of trail and special test phases and a trail section and final motocross on day four.
The 2011 A4DE will be held at Mackay (QLD) from April 20th to 23rd.
