Ride for Tomorrow, the Victorian Trail Bike Initiative, has been working with a broad range of rider groups and interested agencies to develop a Trail Bike Riders Code. The purpose is to establish community awareness of trail bike riding as a responsible and legitimate recreation, and to provide guidance to riders regarding safe and sustainable riding.
A draft Riders Code has been prepared by a working group and an advisory group which together comprised AMTRA, Otway Trail Riders, Victorian Trail Riders Network, VicRoads, Victorian Motorcycle Advisory Council, DSE Trail Bike Initiative staff, VACC, Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries, Victoria Police, TAC, Motorcycling Victoria, DSMRA, and independent members of the Trail Bike Initiative Stakeholder Reference Group.
