Ballards Wellard Yamaha rider Stefan Merriman certainly showed he’s in form at present, after a convincing double round win on the weekend in a rocky and dusty battle through the tight trees out in the central west of the state near Orange.

Stefan Merriman
Stefan rode his 450 E2 championship bike, with a few set up changes to ready himself for next weekends AORC round on the states south coast. “I wanted to try a few set up changes and feel confident leading into that 2 Day enduro that is going to be a real important round. I’m pretty happy”.

Josh Ballard
Josh Ballard had another strong few rounds with a 3rd and 4th in Pro E2 and 5th outright both days. “I felt OK but the combo of dust, a lot of rock and close trees had me feeling a bit reserved when it came to twisting the throttle wide open on the 450. I was pretty happy to be up there and just getting a few points. I’m really looking ahead now for the national next weekend. It should be great, especially with some rain expected this week”.

Jess Gardiner
Young WR250F mounted Jess Gardiner again completely dominated the women’s class both days, and even had some very impressive outright times that had a lot of the guys checking out her times and shaking their heads.
Her speed was enough on Sunday to even beat all the guys in the Masters class, which included the likes of Vaughn Style and Rick Braico.
“I’ve been training really hard and am pretty much on the bike every day. My 4 day win has inspired me even more, and I just love the whole off road thing. I’m really looking forward to the national next weekend down in Moruya. The bikes great too, so I want to thank every one who’s behind making it all work for us”.
