Josh has come away with his first win on International soil at the recent round of the Irish National Enduro Championships held in trying conditions at White Mountain
After an eventful few days driving back to Ireland with his team manager Nick Craigie due to their flights being grounded because of the volcano in Iceland, Josh piloted Nick’s TM144 to an impressive win against Ireland’s top Enduro riders.
The White Mountain Enduro was a different format to what Josh is used to, the race was conducted on a 1 hour 26 minute lap with 1 special test each lap in wet and muddy conditions as well as a hail storm on lap 3. Josh placed first outright in 3 of the 4 special tests. The race was not all smooth sailing for Josh after a crash 2km’s from the finish of the day and injuring his hand.
“Today was a lot of fun riding the TM144, I would like to thank Nick for loaning me his bike to race it was like a BMX bike very light and exciting! The hail on lap 3 made things interesting but it was great to race in some different conditions in preparation for the next WEC event in Italy. I will give my hand a few days rest and then I can get back into riding and testing again” says Josh.
Josh is now in Ireland for the next few weeks testing and training for the GP of Italy where he hopes he will continue his great results in the WEC series.
