Four junior Honda riders have been chosen to represent Australia at the 2009 FIM World Junior Motocross Championships. The team was chosen by Motorcycling Australia after an intense three day training camp at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS), and will compete at the Championships in Taupo, New Zealand, on August 15-16.

Round two of the South Australian Motocross Championships headed south on the weekend to Mount Gambier. The bad weather held off long enough for the race action and the track was a perfect play ground for the team to do battle. The ups were two class wins between Damon Hill (Yamaha Pitmans) and Mitchell Norris (Cowley’s Motorcycles) and the downs of Daniel Banks (Bikes ‘N’ Gear) braking his arm.

KTM Australia is stepping up its commitment to desert racing, with a six rider team confirmed to enter the 2009 Tattersall’s Finke Desert Race from 5-8 June. The team line up is a collaboration between motorcycling manufacturer KTM, and loyal partners HSE Group, Motorex Oils, and KTM dealership Race Motorcycles.
